We are a technology-enabled money transfer service that allows individuals to send money
internationally.
We are authorised by the South African Reserve Bank to offer international money transfers.
We offer a simple, affordable and safe way to send money home. We have developed robust
and secure systems to make sure that your money is in good hands at all times. Our dedicated
team with a combined industry expertise of over 100 years and our unrelenting focus on putting
customers first, makes us excited to welcome you to our family.
We are a registered South African company with a Head Office located in Johannesburg and
regional representation across the country.

You can register with us by downloading our mobile APP from the Google Play Store or the Apple
i-Store. You can also call us or send us your details via our website and we will call you back to
assist with your registration.
You will need a valid Identity Document (either RSA ID; Asylum Document, Passport or Passport
plus Permit) and confirmation of your residential address.
You must be 18 years or older.
Your transaction limits are determined by the documents that you provide. For example,
providing a valid proof of your income could allow for higher transaction limits.
We have partnered with major reputable banks and service providers to allow you to send
money to Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, Kenya various other African countries. We are currently
expanding our service globally, so watch this space.
As a registered customer you:
- log into the Home Remitt mobile application with your username and password;
- create a beneficiary to the destination country;
- create an order within your allocated transaction limit;
- settle your order at any of our pay-in points.
You can settle your order by providing your unique order reference (beginning with “11922”) at
any of our approved pay-in points:
- Pick’n’Pay
- Boxer
- Shoprite Checkers
- Makro
- Builders Warehouse
- Game
- Spar
- Pep
- Ackermans
Or, by EFT directly into our FNB or STD bank account, using online banking. Remember to quote
the unique order reference when using this method of payment.
The moment you pay for your order we send an instruction to our pay-out partner in the foreign
country to make the funds immediately available to your beneficiary.
The exchange rates that we offer for the various destination countries can be viewed either on
our website or the mobile application. We adjust our exchange rates in line with the market
trends. There is no fee to join the our family. The transaction fees are fully displayed when
creating an order and may vary depending on which destination country you select.
